Just not always how we could predict or think it should.
This experience over the past two years has taught us that we cannot force or even crack an opening for light to shine. Quite the opposite. We needed to let go, release all expectations, and create space to simply allow the light to shine through naturally.
Darkness cannot exist within the presence of light. So the only way for darkness to “win” is if we get so caught up in the darkness of a situation, believing there’s no other way out, that we momentarily block our light.
The events that unfolded in court have taught us that the world will do everything possible to block the light of truth and love from shining through. We learned that there are times when you need to confront a dark situation by forcing facts to be seen, but most of the time, it’s best to step back and simply allow the brilliance of truth and light to unfold and shine naturally.
I’ve discovered that anytime I am able to release my ego’s need to be right, to win, or control and drive things forward, I am coming from a dark headspace and am met with equally dark pushback as a result.
But those times when I’m able to take a deep breath and simply relax into a state of allowing, I am truly amazed with how beautifully life simply unfolds before me. So long as I don’t get in the way thinking I know what’s best in any dark situation, I allow this incredible force to shine light and love.
It is within these moments of allowing that life becomes pure magic.
There’s an intrinsic balance in all things. A force so powerful that it quite literally keeps our world spinning and hearts beating with no effort on our part. I call it Source. Source doesn’t judge who is or isn’t deserving of its brilliance nor does it play “favorites” deeming one better than another.
From the perspective of Source, we are all ONE.
The world tries to convince us that we are separate from each other and that dark actions towards another have no bearing on ourselves. I would challenge you to question that dark “reality” for we never experience anything singularly, least of all the brilliance of Source. By the world’s definition, a “win” comes at the “loss” of another. Source reminds us that we are all united and we are either loving and supporting each other within our light, or we feel separate, competitive, and depressed from a space of darkness.
I can’t help but wonder what light-infused resources have given you the desire and strength to reconnect with Dad. And make no doubt about it, we completely understand the amount of strength required to stand up to you mom in order for you to spend even an hour with Dad. Just like we couldn’t force light into a dark court situation, we quickly learned that we cannot step in and do this for you.
We can only love and support you unconditionally as you reconnect with the powerful strength of your light.
And you did! Last Saturday was PURE MAGIC. A compilation of wanting to reconnect with Dad and simply be with us. No purchase or entertainment requests – Just us spending time together like we used to. We played with the dogs and joked about when we used to sneak them into the community pool. We planted flowers in the back yard and marveled over how big the vines we planted years ago have grown. We gave our neighbor with five kids one of your favorite childhood toys that you’ve long outgrown – A water slide. We then watched all the neighborhood kids (and many of their parents) slipping and sliding in the park. The laughter was so contagious, even strangers walking by joined in the fun.
When one of the kids began telling everyone what to do in true dictator fashion, we gently gave him a job and praised him for how well he was doing it – A gentle way of letting him know he was seen and valuable – Something I believe we all need.
You joked that you saw your younger self within that “dictator” role he was playing, and I was quick to correct you. You were never concerned about keeping anyone in line. Quite the opposite. You were the “cruise director” – always making sure everyone felt included and were thoroughly entertained. The shy and socially anxious labels you’ve recently assumed are temporarily blocking your light. Just know that the truth of who you are has always been focused on uniting everyone – In making others feel seen and valued.
