We’ve released far more than we’re comfortable with. We’ve allowed difficult experiences to unfold naturally even knowing the full impact and consequences. From this space of calm that we’ve created, the truth is slowly rising.
If I could give you one solid piece of advice, it would be to focus on who you want to be and what you want to create in your life. Explore – Discover – Create. No matter what wild dream you invent, your Dad and I want to help you achieve it.
I can imagine the void you are experiencing without daily connection with your loving father. Perhaps instant gratification is merely an attempt to fulfill a deep void in your life the only way you know how. The good news is that void is but an illusion.
Even if a child wrapped up in alienation tactics understands their situation, most likely, they have no ability to influence or change the situation. They can’t control their parents or their situation, but they can decide what they say or don’t say.
I hold a space of loving compassion for any parent who has had to make the impossible choice to not reach out because of the resulting emotional abuse inflicted on the children by an alienating parent.
A lengthy legal battle is definitely not the way to go. It would actually destroy all the positive progress we’ve been seeing.
Sometimes a good parent needs to step back and simply love and support an amazing daughter’s budding ideas and choices. Trust that one day she’ll be making plans to spend time with us – All the wiser for having this experience.
Reconnection is not only possible – Your relationship can be better than ever – IF you handle the disconnect in a positive way.
We know how horrible it would be to have Dear Alexa leave and not communicate for over a year – We know because we experienced it.
Stay weird my Dear Alexa. Life is so much more fun that way.
Dear Birth Mother – I wish you nothing but happiness. May you find closure and release so that you may move on with your life. May you create and attract from a positive space so that you may experience love and connection.
To now know that you are already recognizing alienation tactics and learning how to set healthy personal boundaries at the tender age of 14 makes my heart sing!
