Conversations With "Dear Alexa"

Request Prayer Connection

Remember that whole nuclear approach we really really wanted to avoid?  Yea, that bomb has landed with reverberations running deep.

How are you doing?

How Dad wishes he could have talked to you before we had to make the toughest decision with regard to your well-being.  Being so severely cut off from you makes it impossible to determine how you’re feeling and what you need from us.  Do you want us to back off so this experience can ease up and you can live your life?  Do you need us to intervene and remove you from this experience so you can reinvent anew?  All we know is that you’ve been severely cut off from life and something has to give.

It has likely been a very tough week.  But no matter what the storyline is, you need to know that your Dad has thought of nothing but your best interest and well-being.

It’s not about taking anything away from you – It’s about giving you freedom on your terms.

If history repeats itself, tomorrow will be a last-ditch effort to get what they want with plenty of loopholes to prolong legal matters because this is where they thrive.  Your Dad has given, compromised, and done everything possible to make sure you are well taken care of.  He’s exhausted every option.  Nothing, except complete obliteration of your relationship with you Dad, is what’s being demanded.  So your amazing Dad is taking a firm stand.  Not for his rights or even against mom’s (Dad will always protect mom’s rights as well).

This stand is for you.

Strength doesn’t come from winning at all costs and destroying another.  Strength doesn’t come from speaking over another or bending the truth.  And strength certainly isn’t prioritizing the hate another over the love of your child.

Real strength is standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves.  True strength honors every voice and being true to your word.

Your Dad’s strength is all about loving you with every ounce of his being and wanting what’s best for you.

While Dad’s prepared for the past to repeat itself, I am quietly rooting for amicable settlement.  I know… I know… Pretty rose-colored glass statement.  But a girl can dream.  Especially if it leaves enough wiggle room for something positive to occur.

I’ve written about my Letters from Love from one of my favorite authors of Eat Pray Love.  When I’m faced with a particularly difficult challenge, I reach out to all my beliefs for support.  I request what I would like to see happen from the Universe, I pray to my loving Source (God), and I connect with Love recognizing that we are all one.

I’m all in.  And I’m posting this before anyone proves otherwise.
