Perfectly Normal – This is a time in your life when you are exploring and trying to figure out who you are. Normal not psycho. My advice to you may be simple, but it’s the advice I wish someone would have given me at your age.
Be curious, explore all your options, and discover first-hand who the real Dear Alexa is and wants to be… Then let all of it go and keep exploring.
Whether it’s how you believe your parents, schoolmates, or the world perceives you. Or even how you feel accepted by those exploring and identifying similarly. It’s all judgement. You may consider these two views quite differently – good versus bad – but, in essence, they are the judgmentally the same and only limit you within the confines of smallness.
Be curious and explore.
Judgement makes us fight and cling tightly in defense of a current identity. While curiosity is open, naturally intriguing, and free to become more than we can imagine in any give moment. Don’t limit yourself by what’s on trend or overly identify with this current version of yourself.
Give yourself an open mind and try on as many identities as you desire over the course of your lifetime. For who you are is ever-evolving and amazing!
