Conversations With "Dear Alexa"

This “step-mother” is un-censoring herself

This “step-mother” is un-censoring herself

I must confess that I haven’t been entirely genuine here.  I’ve been writing in such a prim and proper, grammatically correct way so not to offend anyone that might stumble across this little blog that I’ve lost touch with my sense of humor.  I’ve censored key details and natural emotional responses that might be upsetting should the live “Dear Alexa” read this and realize that it’s about you.  And I’ve definitely tip-toed around anything having to do with your mom for fear of being sued.*

But I designed this space to freely share my truth with the hope of establishing a genuine connection with you – “Dear Alexa” – some day. I also want to take this opportunity to make a bigger impact.  I believe there are many “Dear Alexa’s” out there that need these messages of love to know that they are not alone.

And I can’t do any of that if I’m constantly censoring or toning myself down.

This step-mom has repressed her “crazy” long enough. My naturally witty and somewhat silly writing style is precisely how I get through the big stuff in my life.

Finding humor in even the darkest, most inappropriate spaces, is how I lift myself up before I risk sinking beneath that dark surface.

We either laugh or cry (usually both) our way through tough experiences and I prefer an uplifting giggle that restores my hope for not only surviving the parental alienation challenges, but thriving throughout them.

Welcome all Dear Alexas!

Whether you’re an alienated birth parent, a supportive step-parent, or teenager feeling twisted by parental alienation.  I want to offer everyone who finds themselves here my utmost compassion and support for where you are right now… My deep sense of unconditional love for everyone who seeks to lift themselves up after a particularly dark experience.

Parental alienation is an excruciating experience – More so if we don’t have an understanding community offering hope.  I share openly and look forward to connecting with anyone drawn to this little blog.

* To the “original Dear Alexa’s” birth mom – I’d like to offer this simple disclosure: This is my truth and it’s supported by our First Amendment right.
